Re: Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

Do you have access to any more original documents, original nurlis or interviewed any of the Seniors and families, T.K.? I don't have any more substantive information to add beyond what is already on this site, the brahmakumaris.info site and youtube (which has interviews of some of the Om Mandli m...

Re: Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

We don't know for sure who they might have been, that it has been the partner is only an assumption, but we are looking for those souls. Who were they, we hope it will be revealed with time. I mean to say we are not specifically after the partner, if he is the man, we are after him, if not, we are ...

Re: Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

PariXit, I am not sure I quite follow your post. Please accept my apologies. However I will try to respond based on what I "think" you meant. I cannot claim to have fully studied the sastras. I cannot claim to have mastery over BK/PBK or any other derived teachings. I am no...

Re: Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

There may be mention of Lekhraj Kirpalani's partner being a member of Om Mandli in 1938 ... I think you are coming to a conclusion far too early and do not think you have got to the bottom of it yet. I presume you meant, "There may NOT be mention of Lekhraj Kirpalani's partner..". You are taking a ...

Re: Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

sita wrote: History of the Yagya has been revised some times already. Why would this be a reason to dismiss the whole study?
I did not realize this aspect of the history been revised by PBKs. What is then the story of Lekhraj Kirpalani's partner as per PBKs?
Thanks.

Re: Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

Here is the final piece of analysis. Between OMBCR and "Is This Justice" there are ample descriptions of the events and characters involved in the period between April 1938 and May 1939. Within this period the Om Mandli was hounded out of Hyderabad, made to migrate to Karachi and pursued even there....

Re: Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

Thanks, fluffy bunny. Thanks for also putting the relevant material in this thread. Now, here is the next piece of the puzzle. Between March 30, 1939 and May 5, 1939, a tribunal in Karachi investigated Om Mandli. Character witnesses were presented to them by "Mukhi Mangharam and others" to provide e...

Re: Is soul consciousness same as body consciousness?

Perhaps the real irony is the singular, pressing urge to shed greed and ego, and make the best possible effort in this life so as to acquire the highest possible status and wealth in the next age.
Although I can see how greed for more of something later can be motivating to give it up now.

Re: Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

Thanks for correcting me - "..BKWSU NOT being aware of Shiva in early years..." As per "Is This Justice", one Narain Shewakram appears to be the secretary of the Om Mandli Bhaibund Committee (circa July 5, 1938). But if you look at the back page of the Om Mandli Bhaibund Committee Report, one Ladhar...

Re: Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

fluffy bunny, You raise valid points about BKWSU being aware of Shiva in early years. I have some thoughts on that and will share them in a separate thread. However, in this thread I want to focus on the historical claims of PBK - at least one of which does not appear to hold based on a document ava...

Unraveling the history of Lekhraj Kripalani's partner

I am fascinated by the history of the BK movement, especially its early years. Recently I was contemplating on some parts of that period as explained by PBKs. I reached a startling conclusion, which I am sharing here. I am going to use the following 3 documents to describe the events: [1] English tr...

Re: Significance of celibacy?

.. Trust me, I have extensive experience in the field. ..It also has an addictive/habitual aspect that goes beyond calories and can be understood chemically or spiritually (sanskars) which causes extreme mental distractions and shapes one's life around it. I have seen this with individuals I would ...

Re: Significance of celibacy?

It is also plainly obvious that giving up sexual discharge *does* increase physical and mental "energy levels". Even the most animalistic athletes like boxers and football players have found this and are discouraged from such contact before big sports games. It appears that medical research may hav...

Re: Significance of celibacy?

Can you guarantee that your mind will not think of the body during sex or that your energy (semen) will not be discharged in the process? Only one deity, Shankar is well known as Amoghveerya in the Indian scriptures, the one who never gets discharged, the one who has destroyed lust. What is the sig...

Evidence of Silver Age contradicts its description?

While much debate among the members of this forum has raged on the consistency of the claims by BKs/PBKs, it appears that two claims have stood the march of time and the brickbats: 1.That time is cyclic and its period is 5000 years which is divided into 4 equal terms, of which the second is the Silv...
