Awakening the kundalini shakti.

Post by shivsena » 29 Jul 2011

Dear brothers.

Sharing a good and a very relevant topic for discussion ( which will help us in understanding the process of soul-consciousness and how it can be achieved. )

shivsena.

========================================================

Shakti, Kundalini, and the River of Tantra Yoga.
by Swami Jnaneshvara Bharati (SwamiJ.com )

There is one energy (Shakti) that keeps taking on new shapes and forms.
Each time the energy takes on a new form, we give it a new name.

One energy with many names and forms: There is one energy that keeps taking on new shapes and forms. In Tantra the name of that energy is Shakti, which is the manifesting, or feminine force that is actually one and the same with its only apparent companion Shiva, the latent, or masculine. Each time the energy takes on a new form, we give it a new name. Shakti becomes Kundalini Shakti, or simply Kundalini. Kundalini becomes the energy of Prana, which flows in patterns or channels called Nadis, and concentrates itself by forming intersections known as Chakras. The subtle energies condense and become known as earth, water, fire, air, and space, forming our experience of the gross world. With Kundalini awakening, the primal energy of Shakti awakens in its true form.

Seek to experience that one energy: To know, in direct experience, that unchanging truth, the one energy that is the substratum of all of the names and forms, is one of the ways of describing the universal goal of spiritual life. It is the experience of the union of Shakti and Shiva, creation and its ground, feminine and masculine, even though they were never actually divided in the first place. It is like wetness that is never separate from water, sweetness that is never separate from sugar, and warmth that is never separate from sunlight.

The River and Electricity

We naturally use new names: To understand Shakti and the process of Kundalini awakening, it is very useful to have a good understanding of the process by which we naturally use language to give a new name to something whenever the form changes.

A metaphor: One day, while sitting by the River Ganges in the Himalayas, the insight came that a river and electricity can be used as a metaphor of how this process of renaming happens:

Potential: Imagine a river that has a dam holding back the water. The river turns into a lake, which has potential energy that is held back from flowing.

Kinetic: When the river flows through a channel towards a generating plant, it becomes an active energy of motion, which is called kinetic energy.

Mechanical: When the flowing water moves through the blades of the generator, there is mechanical energy.

Magnetic: In the generator the turning blades rotate a large mass of metal, creating magnetic energy.

Electro-magnetic: There is a lot of wire wrapped around the turning metal cores, and this causes a transition into electro-magnetic energy.

Electricity: As the energy leaves the generating plant, going down the wires, we call it electrical energy or simply electricity.

Motion, light, sound, heat, cold: When the electricity comes into your house it transforms in many ways, and gets many new names, including motion, light, sound, heat, and cold. It forms music, television images, computer processes, and microwaves.

It's all one energy: In all of these changes in name and form of energy, there remains the central energy that is in support of all of those many forms. It is the very energy that is in potential form in the river. You may be sitting quietly, watching the river, while under the breeze of a fan, listening to recorded music, under the light of a lamp. The energy behind the fan, the music, and the light is none other than the energy in the river, which is right in front of you. This is not a mere symbolism. The electricity flowing into these instruments is literally one and the same with the energy in the river in front of you.

The Kundalini Shakti

We also rename the energy of consciousness: In a similar way, there is one energy (Shakti) in the universe that also keeps changing its form. Each time that that energy changes form, we give it a new name. Following is a description of how this works. In reflecting on this, it is important to keep in mind that some schools, teachers, or lineages use the various terminologies somewhat differently from one another, though the principles might be essentially the same. It is the process that we want to clearly understand, so that we may journey through these levels to their source.

Shakti: The universal energy of consciousness is called Shakti.

Kundalini-Shakti: The word kunda means a bowl in which fire is burned. Thus, when Shakti resides in a bowl called kunda at the base of the spine, it is called Kundalini-Shakti. Going back to the river metaphor, imagine that you are holding a bowl called kunda in your hand. When you plunge the bowl into the river, you say, "I have put the bowl into the river." However, the moment you pull your hand and the bowl out of the river, you say, "I have water in the bowl." In that moment, the river was given a new name, changing it from river to water.

Kundalini: Then, in our common language, the word Shakti is dropped away, and the energy in the bowl is simply called Kundalini. In effect, Kundalini-Shakti has been given a new name, simply Kundalini. Even though it is now called simply Kundalini, it remains none other than pure Shakti. The only difference, if you can call it a difference, is that the Shakti is now in the bowl.

Prana: A tiny amount of the energy called Kundalini radiates off of its subtle mass, like steam rising from a bowl of boiling water. That radiating energy is called Prana. Again, once it changes form slightly, it gets a new name. Just like the water turning to steam, while still remaining water, the Kundalini, which is still Shakti, "becomes" Prana.

Nadis: That Prana tends to flow in certain patterns, or lines, like the steam rising in more or less predictable channels. These lines, patterns, or channels are called Nadis. Once again, a new name is introduced.

Chakras, marmas: The thousands of Nadis, with their Prana (that is really both a small amount of Kundalini, and still Shakti), crisscross here and there like minor or major highway intersections. Those major highway intersections are called Chakras (minor intersections are Marmas or Marmashtanas). It is because of this crossing pattern, like highway intersections, or spokes on a wheel, that the word chakra is used, which literally translates as wheel.

Vayus: From there the Chakras, with their different shapes and styles of intersection, cause five flows of energy called Vayus.

Bhutas, tattvas: These take on the qualities of earth, water, fire, air, and space, which are called Tanmatras and Bhutas at their subtle and gross levels

Indriyas: Also from the subtle energy emerge the five Jnanendriyas or cognitive senses of smelling, tasting, seeing, touching, and hearing, as well as the Karmendriyas or instruments of action of eliminating, replicating, moving, holding, and communicating.

Brain, body, breath: Collectively these manifest as the various aspects of our physical brain, body, and breath. Still, they are none other than the Shakti, Kundalini-Shakti, Kundalini, and Prana flowing in Nadis, which they were all along.

There is only one energy: One of the major insights of Tantra and Yoga meditation, possibly the key to the whole science of Tantra, is that there is only one energy in the whole of the universe, and our task is to know that, in direct experience.

Experiencing that one energy: With Kundalini awakening, the full force of the dormant Kundalini comes forth from its dormant state. To awaken the Kundalini and allow it to rise through the levels of manifestation, returning to its source, is the ultimate Realization of the Absolute, which is both mother and Father aspects of reality, Shakti and Shiva. Through self effort in Tantra and Yoga meditation, and the bestowing of grace, or Shaktipat, the sincere aspirant experiences this Truth.

Dear Shivsena Bhai

I thought the energy of consciousness was called spiritual energy or soul(atma)! This information is of the body conscious world, it doesn't differentiate between atma(soul or conscious energy) and atom(physical energy or non-living energy).

It is only Gyan given by the Supreme Father, that has taught us about the nature of the soul; that is is non-physical, and totally separate from these bodily kundalini energies; that although subtle, are still physical in nature. The qualities of the soul cannot be seen, touched or measured by any physical instruments, because they are non-physical in nature... therefore by dint of logic, the soul must also be non-physical in nature, as like begets like!

What is it we practise in Raj Yoga?... to go beyond the consciousness of the body(physical matter or energy), and remember that actually, we are a point of spiritual(non-physical) light. As the song says... "we are spirits, in a material world!"

"An imperishable soul adopts a perishable body, plays his part, sheds a body and then takes another." [Mu 06.03.06]

Dear roy Bhai.

You are right that physical energy and spiritual energy are totally different....the analogy given in the above compares the physical energy and spiritual energy which are definitely different from each other.....physical energy represent matter and energy(material world) which are interchangeable and there is a spiritual energy which controls this physical energy and this spiritual energy is called shivshakti combined.....in fact all spiritual energy should also be seen as a part of supreme eternal pure consciousness (shivshakti combined) and all souls should not be seen as just mere point of light(which only represents soul on paper)....in fact all souls are spiritual energy shivshakti numberwise and are a part of one universal consciousness and this is what kundalini shakti is all about.

In kundalini philosophy all souls are a combination of shivshakti with Shiva component residing in the crown chakra of the skull and the shakti residing in the base of the spine....it is this shakti which gives us the body-consciousness as Shiva and shakti slowly seperate out right from the first day of Satyug...from full 16 degrees when both shiv and shakti are combined to 8 degrees till the end of Tretayug, we all enjoy soul consciousness for 2500 years...as we become body-conscious from Dwapur yug, the shakti component descends down and comes to rest at the base of the spine at the end of Kaliyug....now this shakti component requires to be re-kindled so that is can go and meet the Shiva component in the crown chakra so that we again become shivshakti combined(soul-conscious)....so the whole process is how to re-charge this shakti component.....this is where the shakti power of Maa adi shakti comes into play....Shiva(the powerhouse) never gives anyone any shakti(energy) directly if you remember him directly as a point of light in Paramdham(as BKs do)...nor does Shiva give any shakti through any bodily human being (as PBKs are doing)....Shiva (the powerhouse) gives shakti only to those souls who connect to him through Maa adi-shakti jagdamba( avaykt brahma), because shakti is the expression power of Shiva.

In kundalini philosophy it is said: when the kundalini shakti is sleeping we are awake(aware) to the outside world and when our kundalini is awakened and rising then we all are sleeping to the outside world(that means we are dead to the outside world) and this is the final aim of all brahmins soul(ie. jeete-ji marna or marjeeva janam)....Murlis say: "Brahmin janam is marjeeva janam" ("brahmin birth is living death")... so at present all brahmins in both worlds are still not true full-cast brahmins and we all are half-cast brahmins, as we are still aware of the outside world and not died a living death....only those souls who die a living death will become true brahmins as it is said in Murlis: "brahmin banna koi masi ka ghar nahin hai" ("it is not your aunt's house to become a brahmin")...this is what i believe.

Dear Shivsena Bhai

Yes, this belief system is saying, that kundalini energy, prana, and other such energies, are spiritual energies; where as it my belief that they are not; they are simply very subtle physical energies. These energies are very much affected by soul conscious awareness; but imo, you are putting the cart before the horse, if you focus on controlling these energies, rather than simply controlling your consciousness. Imo, being soul conscious, creates a situation whereby you are controlling the body via the brow chakra; which automatically brings all the other chakras under control... but there is no great need to be getting too involved with this, as all you really need to know, is that being soul conscious, serves both the soul and the body, by bringing both into balance and harmony. Soul is the master, and body and matter(and physical energy) its servant, when balance(complete soul consciousness) is achieved.

Physical energy is the most mysterious stuff, as it can act as particles and waveforms. Souls are also a little like this, as they are points of spiritual light, and give off spiritual waves or vibrations. However; imo, each soul is an individual imperishable unit; it can never be merged or lost in "the whole", or universal consciousness. Each soul is completely separate and distinct from all others, including the Supreme Soul; and this situation is the same in the spiritual element(tattwa) that is Paramdham; where the soul simply becomes totally dormant; awaiting its return to the eternal Drama.

So what is happening when we remember ShivBaba? Perhaps soul consciousness, is a little like turning on your radio; you are now in a position to pick up radio, or spiritual signals. Tuning into ShivBaba, is a little like tuning into your favourite radio station; you need to know the correct frequency or location(body of Ram-Baba Dixit). This then enables you to enjoy your show; or in our case, the powerful soul conscious vibrations of Father Shiv. These have the effect of transforming the soul, by transforming the impure sanskars(vibrations) that lie within us. The more we connect with ShivBaba, the more we are influenced, and purified by His completely soul concious or bodiless stage; so that we too, can eventually become totally bodiless, as we resonate more and more, with ShivBaba's soul conscious frequency.

Dear roy Bhai.

Time alone will tell as to whose is getting the right vibrations from the right connection.... whether it is deh-dhari baba dixit (ShivBaba according to PBKs) who will give PBKs lift to become soul-conscious in the end ....or whether Mama jagdamba (personified ShivBaba.. no. 1 karmatit farishta) will give the lift to those souls who have intellectual link with her, to enable them to become karmatit farishtas(like her)...( Murli point: "Bap aakar bacchon ko aap-samaan banate hain."..."The Father comes to make the souls like him")

SM 12.2.04 --- The soul is very tiny whereas the body that is visible to the tiny soul is so large. When the tiny soul separates from it, he cannot see anything."

How is possible for Om Radhey's soul to see you when her soul doesn't have a body of its own based on this SM mentioned above?

If you are having rememberance with the dead body of Om Radhey, then you have having connections with the five elements of her dead body devoid of her soul.

Moreover you do not have any idea which is her soul for you to at least focus your attention on her soul.

You joined the BKs after her demise and most probably she would have seen you in Gulzar Dadi's body as claimed by you that she is narrating AV, so shouldn't you be there with the BKs to do service for Om Radhey' soul as you do not have any idea where her soul will be besides the Madhuban BapDada's season.

Avaykt Vanis clearly mention that in the end, Deh (body) and Dehi(atma--body of light and might) will be clearly visible to everybody....so which one do we believe.

I feel that each soul will see those Murli points which suits him...those who have to become farishtas will see the body of light and might and those who have to become bindi will only see the soul as bindi.....knowledge is the mirror in which everyone see his part according to his beliefs.

Currently all of us are seeing and communicating with each other as bodies only and none of us have attained the stage of seeing the soul in the body. When we have achieved the stage of constant soul-consciousness, then we see the soul plus the body but we focus our attention on the soul as that will be the soul conscious stage. To say that we see souls only devoid of bodies is iilogical as souls devoid of bodies are only spirits(air) and souls appear in front of us in a second and vanish the next moment. So it is futile to say that you are having connections with your Mateeshwari when her soul doesn't appear in front of you at all. Most probably you can have connections with her during the BapDada season as claimed by you that she is the one who is narrating AV or are you remembering Om Radhey's soul in Gulzar Dadi.

Since you claimed that ShivBaba is Shiva + Om Radhey's soul, then does the soul of Shiva enter in Gulzar Dadi when AV are being narrated and if you say yes, then it is said in SM that Shiva does not enter a virgin. If you say that only Om Radhey's soul enters Gulzar Dadi and narrates AV, then where will Shiva be during the time Om Radhey is narrating AV. Floating in the air.
knowledge is the mirror in which everyone see his part according to his beliefs.
I disagree. Knowledge brings about true revelation and destroys all our illogical beliefs to which the true land is established. Knowledge is the key to unlock our intellect and realize the parts of our 84 births as preordained but not according to our beliefs.

This is an excellent point Indie Bhai, as according to Shivsena Bhai, Father Shiv and Mama are never separated, but are a combined soul. So wherever Mama is, Father Shiv is too. This would mean, that Father Shiv must enter a virgin, if Shivsena Bhai's beliefs are true; but this is contrary to what is said in the Murli.

"He is such an elevated Father that he should come in a king or the body of a pure rishi. The sanyasis are pure. Would he come into a pure body of a virgin? But this is not a rule. [He is] the Father then how will he ride on a virgin?" [Mu 15.10.69]

Dear Roy Bhai,

I still think that shivsena will continue to oppose AK and its author despite whatever SM is quoted in this forum. Most probably he doesn't want to lose to Baba Dixit-Rambap as that will bring a downfall to his honour and reputation. I do not know what happened to him to the extent he is condemning and defaming AK and Baba Dixit-Rambap. He produces logical and entertaining views and defended Baba Dixit with all his might when he was still with Baba Dixit. I did not expect him to get defeated by Maya so fast and easily.

Now i know why it is said in SM that "ShivBaba is the one who gets hurt the most" --- on the basis when ShivBaba-Baba Dixit observes that his good children are being grabbed by the nose by Maya and thrown into the gutter.

This is indeed, the power of Maya! If doubts are allowed to develop, then a soul will find itself in big trouble at some point. Shivsena Bhai has had some big tests via the Drama; which i feel, have unfortunately, steered him down the path he currently treads. However; if he continues to oppose Baba Dixit, purely out of a wish to defend his honour and reputation; then he will be well advised to do a complete u-turn; by showing humility, and apologising to ShivBaba, for his mistakes. Not only would this increase his honour and reputation multifold; it would also be a very serviceable act; by showing others the way forward, to defeat Maya; by embracing the true living ShivBaba, who resides in Kampil.

The science of Kundalini and the Astanga Yoga as described by Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras are traditionally called as Raja Yoga. These are ancient Indian yogic sciences.
After the advent of the BK and PBK cults, they have appropriated this word 'Raja Yoga' to their own narrow teaching and fanatical beliefs.
Even an article on Kundalini Yoga by Shivsena is questioned by narrow PBK terminology. This only shows the gross narrow mindedness of this cult. They do not want any information or knowledge from outside. They want to be blissful in their ignorance.
May the Para Shakti or the holy mother or Kali give them some sense to appreciate the truth!

There is truth in this comment, as we have very little interest in anything other than what we are taught by ShivBaba! We consider ShivBaba as truth, and everything else, false or corrupted.

To all truth-seeking PBKs.

Sharing a small paragraph about how to awaken the kundalini shakti (which only will lead to soul-consciousness.)....without knowing who is no. 1 shakti, it is impossible to awaken the kundalini shakti.

shivsena.

=======
"In Saktism proper the Great Goddess, divine mother becomes the active principle of the universe: without her activity the male god, Brahma, Siva, or Visnu, is unable to do anything. Sakti is all-pervading, the source of creation and liberation. The aim of spirituality is the development and discovery of the immanent Sakti, called Kundalini. Mukti is achieved through a union of the activated Sakti, otherwise dormant in the mula-dhara, with the Highest Siva also residing in the body in the crown chakra. Without the union of Sakti and Siva there are no emancipation; it is Sakti who is "the way" to Siva, who is static and inactive."
